Every engagement is different. Some of the projects below began as private consultancy assignments led directly by the Managing Director, and grew into long-term partnerships.
Jencons Enterprises is involved in infrastructure and building development across Eastern Africa. To strengthen its online presence, Base2Fusions was tasked with revamping the company’s old web portal and developing a modern, lightweight website optimised for a wide range of end-user devices. The new site was also fine-tuned for both Search Engine Optimisation and Generative Engine Optimisation (SEO and GEO).
From 2009 to 2017, GIZ GmbH engaged the founder of Base2Fusions as a consultant to periodically provide diverse digital services to partner organisations on behalf of Germany’s BMZ. The assignments included the design and development of database-driven applications, as well as technical support for the Eastern Africa Standby Force during Peace Support Operations (PSO) exercises, among other digital services.
EASF is a regional peacekeeping mechanism mandated to support peace and stability in its ten Member States in Eastern Africa. It is one of the five Regional Mechanisms of the African Standby Force. Base2Fusions’ founder was tasked with creating and maintaining Peace Support Operations databases for recording police and civilian personnel trained for peace support and maintained on standby in their respective countries.
The initial Better Migration Management project involved designing and developing a database-driven platform providing information intended to assist undocumented migrants and victims of human trafficking originating from, or passing through, the Horn of Africa. Participating countries included Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan and Somaliland. The two-year project was funded by the European Union and implemented through GIZ.
Westfalen Trading is a Kenyan company with roots in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The company connects with European partners that provide high-end industrial solutions for implementation in Kenya and across Africa. Base2Fusions was tasked with supporting the expansion of the company’s outreach by developing the required web platforms in line with its external communications strategy.
Beta Infinity Ltd tasked NangaCSS of Austria, together with Base2Fusions, with designing, developing and rolling out Beramour, a world-class dating application. The solution was developed as a progressive web app that users can initially access through a URL and install on compatible devices. Because Beramour is not hosted on native app platforms, there are no package-hosting costs. The app users pay less for this service.
Morgenroth Schulhaus is an educational institution based in Shimba Hills, Kwale County, Kenya. It was established by a Kenyan-German Community Based Organisation with the aim of providing high-quality education to children from less privileged backgrounds. Base2Fusions partnered with the CBO to design, implement and roll out a robust staff clocking system that now supports several human-resource and remuneration aspects of staff management.
Environtech Consultancy Africa is a Nairobi-based company providing environmental consultancy, audit and advisory services that help organisations comply with legal requirements during project implementation. Since 2017, Base2Fusions has played a central role in providing the company with diverse IT solutions. These include both hardware and software systems, some custom-developed to address the company’s specific operational requirements and support its day-to-day activities.
Flambert Holdings is an established Nairobi-based medical supplies company whose history dates back to before the turn of the century. Base2Fusions partnered with the company to enhance its internal working systems by designing and deploying custom software solutions, including a document management system. These improvements increased operational efficiency, particularly through the transition from paper-based documentation to more streamlined digital document management processes.
Tulima Enterprises is a general supplies company located along Mombasa Road in Nairobi, providing goods and services mainly to non-governmental and private-sector organisations. Since 2023, Base2Fusions has worked with the company to strengthen its web presence while periodically improving its internal digital systems. These enhancements have supported greater efficiency and helped the company establish a stronger niche within its supply-chain activities.
